A review of Sakura Cantonese Take Away by Terry Wilkinson - Friday 6th of July 2007
I was born and bred in Leeds and was a big fan of the old Sang Sang as well as the original Jumbo restaurant. The owner and main chef of both these places went on to open the excellent Sakura in Headingley so you can imagine my joy when I stumbled upon it one night. The Cantonese food here is excellent and certainly the best quality in Leeds. The pork dumplings are huge and addictively tasty. The japanese influences on the menu are also wonderful---the Sakura salad is a creamy Japanese potato salad that is often sold out much to my frustration. Definitely recommend this place.
