"So close but unwilling to enter"
A review of Beckett Street Cemetery by Sharon - Sunday 30th of September 2007
Last year while visiting England I wanted to visit the site of my Great grandparents graves. I went to the local record office found the location and was advised that it was not ideal for me to visit.
I had hired a car and so toke a drive up there - as no member of the family has visited the site since my relatives came out to new zealand in 1860's. I was only 20 feet from the grave yard but thought the area rough and unsafe for a female by themselves.
I had intend in staying in Leeds but was so disappointed I drove onto Shefflied instead.
How safe is the area - I wanted to take the photo's and put some flowers on their headstones.
