I have nothing but praise for Tropical World and the Canal Gardens. They are a wonderful day out no matter what the weather,but if you want to go for a drink or a snack afterwards forget about the next door cafe if you've got the children with you.
Its been newly refurbished and looks wonderful, but all the tables that children are allowed to sit at are crammed into the smallest half of the cafe, while the biggest area is taken up by 3 leather sofas and a coffee table which we were informed were for adults only! Our young, wellbehaved granddaughter was asked to move. Two young mothers with babies were not allowed to bring inside highchairs for them to use. They were only for use outside!!
How can a cafe, next door to one of the most popular childrens attractions in Leeds, be allowed to opperate in this manner? We certainly wont be going into it again.
