"How do you like your bread? Toasted or Toasted"

A review of Andy's Autos by Paolo Di Canio written on Friday 7th of September 2007

I have been attending Andy’s and Jackie’s death van for some time now, and apart from the 4 heart attacks and the 3 double by-passes caused by having a Steak Canadian everyday, I have absolutely no problem with them.

I know a lot of people use this website to grumble about work done on their houses by cowboys and mechanics that have ripped them off….. blah blah blah. So, I thought I should right an article praising Andy Autos.

However, I drive what I believe to be a beauty of motor, although its not a patch on what it was 28 years given it’s a complete rust bucket. However, it has been with me since the tender age of 17, man and boy, and losing it would mean id have lost a part of myself. Avoiding bringing a tear to my eye, I took it to Andy’s Autos to see if he could install a new radio with a sub woofer and some 6 x 9s in the back. Having a sweet ice in me motor would damm near guarantee a tupp on a Friday night with some hot 50+ bird pulled at the working mens club. Having the fine tunes of Boney M and Kenny G piping through the speakers would make me a big time magnet for the ladeez!

When I dropped the motor off at the sandwich van I ordered my usual steak Canadian with onions and red sauce. Andy I could have it back on the Friday, which was no problem. However what happened next I couldn’t believe!!

Andy must have had a skin full the night before and one hell of a curry, and what happened would have been complete coincidence. Andy was going blue in the face, it was apparent that he had dreadful wind after his tirade the night before, but at the point Jackie had put some smoke backed bacon on the grill. At the point in which Andy blew out his Curry infused gruff, a bit of fat set alight and the resulting ‘flame thrower’ had a devastating effect on Jackie’s eyebrows. To the extent that they were no longer in existence. I couldn’t believe it, it was such a health and safety issue having Andy’s rear in such a small space, it could of sent the whole van up.

Jackie then asked if I like my bread toasted, like I had a choice, it was all burnt to a crisp!! However, Andy’s autos is a great place to get your car fixed and I would recommend it to anyone.
