"Politeness costs nothing! What's their excuse?"

We were a sober, mixed party of Six people, celebrating someone's move of career on a Friday night, 9pm. We hadn't booked. Da Mario Pizzeria had plenty of visisble, empty tables when we arrived. However, we were told 'no tables'. No explanation, no excuses - just short, curt rudeness. I don;t think any of us will be returning again. A smile and an apology costs nothing.
