"Five formative years at Abbey Grange"

I was at Abbey Grange from 1962 to 1967. After leaving I served a 5-year apprenticeship in the printing industry, training as a compositor (hot-metal typematter - long before desk-top publishing!). I am still working in the industry some 45 years later, now as a print estimator. The reason for my longevity in this fast-changing industrial landscape? My 5 formative years at Abbey Grange which has stood me - and indeed my contemporaries - in good stead. I sincerely hope the present students at Abbey Grange will also enjoy a most successful educational experience. .
